Good Karma Golf Tournament 2011
The Scott M. Fisher Foudation invites you to join us for the 3rd annual Good Karma Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of all our friends and loved ones lost to suicide in the Culpeper area. I know Scott would be very pleased with your support. He loved to help others and he loved to play golf…especially with his grandfather, whom he called "G PA". We included "Good Karma" in the name of the tournament based on Scott’s license plate. You may have seen it on his red (his favorite color) car around Culpeper.
Last year our efforts raised over $13,000 to support depression awareness and suicide prevention. With help from people like you this year we plan to provide more funds by increasing the number of sponsors, volunteers, and educators supporting our cause.
This year's tournament will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Culpeper Country Club where our friend, Scott Fisher, was a member. Our registration table, sponsored by Stellar One Bank, opens at 11:00 AM. The superball style tournament will begin with a shot-gun start at 1:00 PM. The dinner and awards ceremony will follow at 5:30 PM or after play finishes. Each golfer will be allowed two mulligans.
As a golfer, your $100 entry fee includes greens and cart fees, “goodie bag”, dinner, the special awards ceremony and a program. If you would like to help even more, we invite you to become a tournament sponsor to help expand our efforts. Our $1000 Gold Sponsors, $500 Silver Sponsors and $250 Bronze Sponsors will be seated at the VIP table for dinner, recognized at our awards ceremony, and featured in the program. In addition, the Gold Sponsorship includes one foursome with dinner, while the Silver Sponsorship includes two golfers with dinner. A Bronze Sponsorship includes one golfer with dinner and a hole sponsorship.
For an additional $100, you can sponsor a hole during the Tournament. You will be recognized with a special sign at the tee box.
To increase the fun, specials awards will be given for:
- Closest to the Pin (men and women)
- Longest Drive (men and women)
- Hole-in-One (win a car) and
- Hitting the Green (5 for 15)
This year's tournament also will include a raffle and a putting contest.
